Acend Became the First VCT Champion!

Acend became the best VALORANT team of 2021. In the grand final where two EMEA teams competed, Acend came out as the winner.

Before the final series, there was a magnificent visual and musical show. GRABBITZ, which made a great opening with the “Die For You” announced before the tournament, fascinated us all.

Acend, who won the final series, which was breathtaking until the last moment, with a score of 3-2, became the champion. The champion team received the $350,000 prize money. Gambit Esports placed second and took home the $150,000 prize money.

Gambit Esports won the first map, Breeze, 13-11 by coming back from 9-1 and taking a 1-0 lead in the final series. On the Ascent map, Acend won 13-7 with its dominant performance, bringing the score to 1-1 in the final series.

On the third map, Fracture, Gambit Esports had a comfortable victory with a score of 13-3. Then Acend continued the championship fight by winning the fourth map, Icebox, with a score of 14-12.

The team then won the final map of the breath taking grand final series, Split with a score of 13-8, and became the champion. You can also check the player statistics below;
