Team Spirit, one of the successful esports organizations, announced on its official Twitter account that they will disband their CS:GO squad.
The team, which has been actively participating in tournaments since 2016, will compete for the last time at the DreamHack Open November 2021.
Having its most successful year, the team won the DreamHack Open January 2021 Europe, Pinnacle Cup II, Insane FASTCUP 1 and Winstrike CIS Spring Cup 2021 – BLAST Premier Qualifiers throughout the 2021 season.
Team Spirit CEO Nikita Cheshir Chukalin said:
Our CS:GO project that lasted for 2,5 years will come to an end after Dreamhack Open November. It is safe to say that its potential wasn’t fully achieved. We have an understanding of the reasons behind it, but I am not prepared to share them just yet.
Nevertheless, I would like to express my utmost respect for the success that this group of players and coaches has achieved. Hard work has always been a pillar in the philosophy of Team Spirit, and this roster has embraced it fully.
