Teams that will compete in VRL Turkey: Birlik have confirmed

VRL Turkey: Birlik‘s GSL closed qualifying is already complete, and a number of prominent Turkish teams have confirmed their participation in the regional championship.

The Turkish VRL qualifying process was divided into three stages. Two open qualifiers preceded a four-group GSL qualifier that pitted 12 qualifying teams eight from the first and four from the second qualifier against four invited teams from the VCT Turkey Stage 1: 2. Challengers The four teams were Futbolist, Fire Flux Esports, Surreal Esports, and Galatasaray Esports. Several well-known names in the scene were thrust into the spotlight during the open qualifications. From the first qualification, Galakticos, Kafalar Esports, Thunderbolts Gaming, and Besiktas Esports were picked. From the second open qualifier, Team Aurora, Zero Zone, and Fenerbahçe Esports got in. Every group in the closed qualification has one invited team, two from the first qualifier, and one from the second qualifier. Only Fire Flux Esports and Galatasaray Esports made it to the VRL without losing a single match out of the four invited teams.

Fenerbahçe and Futbolist both won their first matches in Group A. Fenerbahçe managed to fight their way to qualifying in a narrow 2-0 triumph in the winner’s match between these two. Futbolists were demoted to the championship game. They took on Karagümrük Esports, who had already eliminated 3 Gün Yeter, and won 2-0 following two 13-6 victories on Ascent and Haven.

Surreal Esports and Thunderbolts Gaming advanced to the winner’s match in Group C after victories against Regnum Carya Esports and Weda Esports, respectively, by 2-0 and 2-1. Thunderbolts avoided a reversal of fortune in the qualifying match, winning 2-1 over the invited Surreal Esports team, who went on to play Weda Esports in the final. Surreal Esports secured the last slot in their group with two 13-7 victories on Icebox and Split.

Galakticos and Team Lixa took the remaining two final spots in Turkey’s VRL.

VRL Turkey: Birlik will take place between February 14 and March 20. Its precise format has yet to be disclosed.
