VCT EMEA 2023 Format Announced!

VALORANT has published a new article about the tournament format and catchy topics of VCT EMEA 2023!

Last year, EMEA witnessed tremendous games. FUT Esports, played the final against their French rival Team Vitality. After a last great year, Riot Games enters new era of EMEA with a bit changes to it. Riot Games explained their vision and format for this new are in their new article.

VCT EMEA 2023 Vision

VALORANT has new priorities for VCT EMEA 2023. First of all, they want to explain the intricacies of the game to both of the regions. Another priority is the desire to expand the influence zone of the game into more regions. They increased number of EMEA Leagues to 9 for this. And finally, they want the players shining in the leagues of the regions to be recognized in the international arena. The Ascension tournament is their first step towards achieving that. VALORANT is working for discovering and spreading more talented players to the world to have more icons and faces.

VCT EMEA 2023 Format

According to the published article, the EMEA Challengers League start dates are as follows:

  • Spain – January 8
  • Eastern Europe – January 12
  • DACH (German speaking countries) – January 14
  • France – January 14
  • Portugal – January 14
  • Turkey – January 14
  • Northern Europe – January 16
  • Italy – January 21
  • MENA – January 28

Start dates have been adjusted to avoid conflicts with the LOCK / IN tournament starting Monday, February 13. So that we can easily watch the tournament that will be held in Sao Paulo.

In leagues of regions, 1st stage play-off matches of the tournament will start at the end of February and will be held until the beginning of March. The tournament will end on Sunday, March 12. Phase 2 will begin after the first week of VCT. All leagues will be held from April 1 Saturday to Tuesday. Play-off matches will run from the end of May to the beginning of June and will end on June 11. The best teams of the leagues will participate in the Ascension Tournament in July after the tournament. The winning team will be the best EMEA Challenger team of 2023. And will qualify for the VCT EMEA League.
