Aurora to Face Liquid in FISSURE Playground 2 Quarterfinals!

Our representative Aurora will face Liquid in the Quarterfinals of the FISSURE Playground 2 Playoffs. The match is set to take place today.

Held in Belgrade, Serbia, FISSURE Playground 2 features a prize pool of $1,250,000. With the conclusion of the Swiss Group stage, the playoff battles have officially begun, and the matchups already promise to be intense.

The first playoff match will see our Mongolian brothers The MongolZ face G2. Following that, at 14:30, Aurora will take on Liquid.

Aurora reached the playoffs undefeated. First defeating Astralis, then TYLOO, and finally FURIA. In the Astralis matchup, Aurora dropped just one map but went on to win every subsequent series without losing a single map.

If Aurora manages to defeat Liquid, they will face either G2 or The MongolZ. A matchup against The MongolZ would serve as the rematch of the Esports World Cup 2025 Grand Final.

The Aurora vs. Liquid showdown will be broadcast live on ROOT and Arhaval.

Our representative Aurora secured a clean 2-0 victory over FURIA in their second match of FISSURE Playground 2, advancing to the playoff stage.

Competing in Belgrade, Serbia, Aurora made no mistakes in their third match of the tournament. The Brazilian squad fell on their own pick, Inferno, as well as Aurora’s pick, Dust II, granting our team a well-deserved playoff spot.

XANTARES Shines Against FURIA!

In the dominant 2-0 win over FURIA, our star player XANTARES stole the spotlight with an incredible 1.74 average rating.

The first map, Inferno, started with a bomb defuse for Aurora, but they conceded four rounds in a row right after. Despite this, the team kept their composure and closed the first half 8-4. On the T side, Aurora only dropped a single round. XANTARES ended the map with a 2.00 rating, +13.43% Swing percentage, and 116.1 ADR, standing as the undeniable MVP.

On Dust II, XANTARES once again dominated. Aurora gave little breathing room to their opponents across both halves. The CT side ended even, but the T side saw Aurora take full control thanks to sharp AK-47 plays and XANTARES’ precise aim. He closed the map with a 1.55 rating, 111.6 ADR, and +6.53% Swing.

Aurora Await Their Playoff Opponent!

With an unbeaten run into the playoffs, Aurora now await the results of the 2-2 matches. Their first playoff clash will take place on Friday, September 19, 2025. Once the opponent is confirmed, it will be announced on Esportimes’ social media channels.

Twistzz, FaZe Clan'a Geri Döndü!

Twistzz has made a shocking return to FaZe Clan, with the team announcing his signing shortly after his departure from Liquid.

FaZe revealed last night that Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken is rejoining the roster. The 25-year-old Canadian rifler will make his comeback starting with ESL Pro League Season 22.

The transfer comes just shortly after Liquid announced the unexpected departure of Twistzz, who was considered one of the cornerstones of the roster.

Twistzz released a statement via his Twitter (X) account after joining FaZe Clan. He shared his feelings and announced that he would focus on the final tournament for Liquid.

Home. Joined @FaZeClan

Feeling speechless the last days. After Fissure I will make a longer post. As for now, I’m very happy and thankful to reunite with the organization and the players.

Going to focus on the current event and get this roster some points before exiting.

Thank you once again for the warm welcome and support.

Twistzz

It’s Still Unclear Who Twistzz Will Replace in FaZe

FaZe has been struggling to deliver strong results in recent tournaments. In an attempt to improve their chances, they recently replaced Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski with Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewski.

However, it’s still unclear whose place Twistzz will be taking in the active lineup. Rumors and speculation suggest that rain could potentially be on his way out.

FaZe’s Current Active Roster:

  • rain
  • broky
  • frozen

Liquid, Twistzz ile Yollarını Ayırdığını Duyurdu!

Team Liquid has announced the departure of 25-year-old Canadian veteran rifler Twistzz. The player will leave the team after FISSURE Playground 2.

Liquid made the shocking announcement yesterday, revealing that one of the team’s cornerstones, Twistzz, will part ways with the organization. It was also confirmed that the player has already joined another team.

This departure comes during a difficult period for Liquid, who have struggled to achieve positive results for some time. The team had a poor start at FISSURE Playground, following disappointing showings at BLAST Open London and EWC 2025.

After two years back on Team Liquid, @Twistzz
will be transferring from our team at the end of Fissure.

We want to thank Russ for his flexibility, adapting to the roles we needed him in and working hard to achieve his best every time he joined the server.

We will have more information about our updated roster coming soon. Stay tuned and in the meantime, let’s enjoy one last ride with TL Twistzz.

Aurora Defeat TYLOO at FISSURE Playground 2!

Aurora, FISSURE Playground 2'de TYLOO Ekibini Mağlup Etti!

Our representative Aurora secured a 2-0 victory over TYLOO in their second match at FISSURE Playground 2, advancing to the next stage.

Competing in the 1-0 pool at the event held in Belgrade, Serbia, Aurora once again delivered a flawless performance. They defeated the Chinese side on their own pick, Inferno, and on Aurora’s pick, Mirage, moving one step closer to the playoffs.

Aurora Show Their Big-Team Mentality, Allowing No Chances for TYLOO

Although TYLOO managed to challenge on both maps, Aurora closed things out with their own style of play.

On Inferno, TYLOO started strong in the first half, but Wicadia’s brilliant plays on the T side turned the tide. Despite trailing 4-8 on CT, Aurora powered through with a 9-2 run on the attack to claim the map.

Mirage didn’t look as promising early on, but Aurora’s “big team reflexes” came alive. TYLOO were expected to close the first half with a lead, but Aurora disrupted their rhythm and ended the half tied. The CT side started shaky for Aurora, and hopes seemed to fade. However, Wicadia and jottAAA stepped up with phenomenal plays, flipping the momentum and securing the map 13-11.

Wicadia Shines Bright Against TYLOO

Aurora’s 20-year-old prodigy Wicadia was the standout performer of the match. He racked up 40 kills across both maps, finishing with a 1.50 rating. On Inferno, he posted an impressive +7.12% swing, directly influencing the game’s outcome.

His critical frags and contributions shut down TYLOO’s game plan, preventing them from executing their strategies effectively.

Aurora to Face FURIA Next!

Aurora’s next opponent in the 2-0 pool will be Brazilian squad FURIA. The winner of the matchup will secure direct qualification to the playoffs.

The match is scheduled for September 15, 2025, at 21:30, though the time may be subject to slight changes.

Aurora Defeat Astralis at FISSURE Playground 2!

Aurora FISSURE Playground 2'de Astralis Ekibini Mağlup Etti!

Our representative Aurora kicked off their FISSURE Playground 2 campaign with a 2-1 victory over Astralis.

In the opening match of the tournament held in Belgrade, Serbia, Aurora overcame Astralis 2-1 to move to a 1-0 record. Outstanding performances from XANTARES and jottAAA played a key role in securing the win.

Aurora Drop the First Map but Take the Series!

On Astralis’ pick, Nuke, Aurora struggled to find their rhythm and lost 8-13. While the shaky performance raised concerns for the remaining maps, Aurora fought back on Dust II.

On their own map pick, Dust II, Aurora dominated the first half with a 9-3 lead, but Astralis answered back on the CT side with a similar streak. Fortunately, Aurora held their ground in overtime and managed to close out their pick.

XANTARES (1.26 rating) and Wicadia (1.25 rating) carried Aurora to victory, while dev1ce’s 1.32 rating was not enough for Astralis.

The series-deciding map, Overpass, showcased Aurora’s superiority early on. They closed the T side with an 8-4 lead, and although the CT side was more contested, Aurora leveraged their advantage to close out the map and the match. With this, Aurora claimed their first win of the tournament.

Aurora’s Next Opponent to Be Decided on Saturday!

With this result, Aurora advance to a 1-0 record. Their next opponent will be determined based on the outcome of other matches and will be revealed on Saturday.

Astralis Acquired by Fusion Esports Group!

Astralis, Fusion Esports Group Tarafından Satın Alındı!

According to independent journalist Richard Lewis, Danish esports organization Astralis changed ownership on September 5 and has been acquired by Fusion Esports Group.

Not much is known about Fusion Esports Group, other than the fact that it was officially registered on the same day and that its director, Jakob Lund Kristensen, was the founder and CEO of Copenhagen Wolves between 2012 and 2016, as well as the co-founder of both Astralis and BLAST.

Danish commercial registry records show that Fusion Esports Group is part of JLK HOLDING ApS, which, according to Richard Lewis, has “been inactive for some time.”

Kristensen served as Vice President of Sales at BLAST from December 2016 to August 2019. According to his LinkedIn profile, he later returned to Astralis after RFRSH Entertainment’s competitive division separated, working as Chief Revenue Officer until January 2023.

This news ends months of speculation about Astralis’ future. Back in April, HLTV and Dust2.dk reported that Astralis was actively seeking buyers for the company’s brand, intellectual property rights, and CS division, with former Ninjas in Pyjamas COO Jonas “calc” Gundersen named as one of the interested parties.

Sources told HLTV that the deal is expected to be announced in the coming days. Just last week, Astralis confirmed the return of former team member Emil “Magisk” Reif, who rejoined the roster to replace Martin “stavn” Lund, currently on a break for personal reasons.

MIBR Qikert ile Anlaştı ve nicks Yedeklere Çekildi!

Brazilian team MIBR have signed former Virtus.pro player and PARIVISION benched member Qikert on loan.

After weeks of rumors surrounding a potential move, MIBR have officially added the 26-year-old Kazakh player to their roster. With Qikert’s arrival, nicks has been moved to the bench. He will step down following the ESL Challenger League S50 South America Cup 2 match.

The 20-year-old had been brought in after the summer break to replace Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves, but only two months later, he is leaving the active roster. During his time, nicks struggled to adapt individually to the competition and ended up with the team’s lowest average rating of 0.79, contributing to three early exits in the new season (FISSURE Playground 1, IEM Cologne, and BLAST Bounty S2). MIBR managed to win only one out of six matches in this period.

MIBR roster:

  • Raphael “exit” Lacerda
  • Breno “brnz4n” Poletto
  • Felipe “insani” Yuji
  • Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev (on loan from G2 Ares)
  • Aleksei “Qikert” Golubev (on loan from PARIVISION)
  • Jhonatan “jnt” Silva – Coach
  • Rafael “saffee” Costa – Substitute
  • Nicollas “nicks” Polonio – Substitute

Spirit Announces tN1R Signing and zont1x Moves to the Bench!

Spirit tN1R Transferini Açıkladı ve zont1x Yedeklere Çekildi!

Spirit has announced the signing of tN1R from HEROIC, while zont1x has moved to the bench by his own decision.

With this change, tN1R will take the place of Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia, who departs Spirit’s active roster after two years. The Ukrainian rifler was promoted from the academy team in July 2023 alongside Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov and Danil “donk” Kryshkovets. In his rookie year, he went on to win multiple championships, including IEM Katowice, BLAST Spring Final, and the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

The Russian organization clarified that zont1x was moved to the bench at his own request.

A few months ago, Miroslav informed the Team Spirit management that he needed some time to resolve certain personal issues. It took us some time to provide him with this opportunity while also avoiding negative consequences for the stability of the roster. We undoubtedly respect Miroslav’s decision.

Throughout all these years, zont1x has made tremendous contributions to the development of our roster both inside and outside the game. Miroslav’s composure, humanity, and consistent performance have made him an indispensable part of the Team Spirit family.

Spirit

Although Spirit has shown strong performances this season, they have not reached the same level as before, often falling behind MOUZ and Vitality in several tournaments. Following these results, the team made its first change by bringing in zweih in place of magixx.

Current Spirit roster:

  • Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov
  • Danil “donk” Kryshkovets
  • Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov
  • Ivan “zweih” Gogin
  • Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich
  • Sergey “hally” Shavaev – Coach
  • Boris “magixx” Vorobiev – Substitute
  • Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia – Substitute
