Riot Will Not Take Action Against Profek, Who Insulted Atatürk!

0
Atatürk'e Küfreden Profek Hakkında Riot İşlem Yapmayacak!

Clips of BBL player Profek insulting Atatürk when he was 17 have surfaced, but Riot Games announced that no action will be taken.

Twitter (X) turned into a battlefield after a clip of Dawid Święc, also known as Profek, spread online. In a ranked VALORANT match back in 2022, Profek, frustrated, used racist and sexist slurs and also insulted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founding father of Turkey. The player received heavy backlash.

Profek initially made a statement when the incident came to light:

Losing like this is tough, but what I saw after the match made me even more upset.

I really love this community, and I want to apologize for the things I said in a ranked game when I was 17, without understanding how much i was hurting people.

Seeing this has made me feel sick because I dont recognise myself in it and I am so sorry to anyone who this has upset.

I do not agree with using racist words no matter what situation you are in and I have nothing but respect for Atatürk, for the people of Turkey, and what he means to you and your history. The things I said years ago are not the things I believe in now, and I feel completely ashamed of what I did.

I hope you will forgive me, because I love you all and your support means a lot to me.

Riot Did Not Issue a Disciplinary Penalty for PROFEK

Following the backlash, Riot Games announced that an investigation had been launched regarding the incident. Shortly after, they reached a conclusion and declared that no disciplinary action would be taken against the player.

Investigation Closed: No Disciplinary Action Against Dawid “PROFEK” Święc

Riot Games recently became aware of potential violations of the Riot Games Esports Global Code of Conduct. In particular, a video was published on X (formerly Twitter) involving the VCT EMEA player Dawid Święc (“PROFEK”) using offensive language during a ranked match in 2022.

After reviewing all relevant evidence, we have confirmed that the incident occurred in 2022, before PROFEK was competing as a semi-professional or professional player in Riot Games’ VALORANT esports ecosystem. Therefore, the matter does not fall within the scope of the Riot Games Esports Global Code of Conduct.

Should new information or evidence come to light, we reserve the right to reopen the investigation.

Riot Games

Riot officials explained their decision by stating that the incident took place before Profek competed as a semi-professional or professional player. Because of this reasoning, the community once again reacted strongly, claiming it reflected a biased attitude against Turks.

Profek: “I want to apologize for my actions.”

After the decision was made, BBL player Profek released a statement on his Twitter (X) account, apologizing to fans.

Hello guys,

First of all, I want to apologize for my past actions when I was teenager. I sincerely apologise to everyone I have offended. After 4 years I have grown a lot as a person and I understand my horrible mistakes and trust me I really mean it. I also want to thank my friends and BBL fans who were supporting me in this situation. This means a lot.

About the year in BBL

It was one of the best years in my life. I really want to thank all my teammates and coaching staff because we were working so hard in this year to achieve every international LAN but unfortunately in this year we didn’t even have a little bit of luck in every stage of the year.

The most disappointing thing for me was the last game vs GX, I couldn’t be there for the team. The whole emotions which were in that moment were super hard for me to step up and help the team, just as I always did in every match I played for BBL.

Overall I still think we were the team which were able to go for every international in this year but we were not able to close out some rounds which were crucial for us to go for the LANs and that hurts the most.

I really want to thank all BBL FANS for all your support because going into every game felt amazing. To everyone I’ve hurt, I hope you can forgive me for my mistakes.

Afterward, he joined Vitality, where he added another Major trophy to his resume. Following two years with Falcons, Magisk now returns to Astralis, bringing a wealth of experience to the roster.

MongolZ Crowned Champions of the Esports World Cup 2025!

0
MongolZ, Esports World Cup 2025'te Şampiyon Oldu!

The Mongolian squad MongolZ defeated our representative Aurora 3-0 in the Grand Final of the Esports World Cup 2025 to claim the championship.

In the EWC 2025 Grand Final, Mongolia’s The MongolZ overcame Aurora in a clean sweep to lift the trophy. On their road to the final, played in a single-elimination format, The MongolZ had also eliminated GamerLegion, 3DMAX, and Vitality. This marks the team’s first-ever S-Tier championship.

Aurora Once Again Fall Short Against MongolZ!

The final series began on Mirage. Aurora’s stars İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş and Özgür “woxic” Eker stood out with strong performances. Despite woxic’s critical clutch plays, Aurora failed to close out the map. In the final round, the game went into overtime, where The MongolZ secured the win to go up 1-0 in the series.

On Dust2, Aurora got off to a quick start but trailed 7-5 at halftime. Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın gave the team a morale boost with a spectacular Desert Eagle quad-kill, but The MongolZ read MAJ3R’s offenses perfectly, taking the map 13-9 to extend their advantage.

The third map, Nuke, began with The MongolZ winning the pistol round. Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli sparked hope for Aurora with a Zeus + triple kill in an eco round, but the Mongolian side quickly regained control.

Aurora managed to win the second pistol round, but immediately afterward Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold crushed their momentum with a Desert Eagle triple kill. Shortly after, Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch sealed the deal with a 1v3 AWP clutch. The MongolZ closed out Nuke 13-4, taking the series 3-0 and lifting the trophy.

Overall, Aurora struggled to maintain control throughout the maps. Whenever they managed to gain the upper hand, they couldn’t hold it for long, while The MongolZ consistently surprised with unexpected plays to stay alive and eventually knock Aurora out.

A Thrilling Yet Bittersweet Final for Aurora

Aurora had previously reached the BLAST Bounty 2025 S1 Grand Final, where they fell 3-1 to Spirit, and narrowly lost the ESL Pro League S20 Final as well.

Coming into this tournament more confident and better prepared, our representatives once again shared the same fate. Despite showcasing brilliant performances and raising hopes all the way to the Grand Final, they fell short at the very end.

MAJ3R Speaks to HLTV Ahead of the Esports World Cup 2025 Grand Final!

MAJ3R, Esports World Cup 2025 Finali Öncesi HLTV'ye Röportaj Verdi!

Aurora’s captain MAJ3R spoke to HLTV after their victory over the Falcons in the Esports World Cup 2025 semifinals.

After a slow and difficult start to the season, Aurora came into the Esports World Cup 2025 at full throttle. Our players defeated FaZe, HEROIC, and Falcons one after another to reach the Grand Final. There, they will face MongolZ.

The Grand Final clash against MongolZ will take place on Sunday (24.08.2025) at 13:00.

Captain MAJ3R spoke to HLTV following their uplifting semi-final result.

How are you feeling after that series?

I feel a little tired after because it’s late, but it was a really good match to play, I really enjoyed it. I’m very happy that in the end we won it. Congratulations to Falcons for the match, because I think for the fan it was a beautiful match to watch.

I noticed during the game you had a lot of energy, a lot of gestures towards the crowd. Did it give a little bit of extra fire knowing there were so many Falcons fans rooting against you?

Yes and no. I think when you have a lot of support behind you like this, it can be an advantage and also a disadvantage for them, because it also puts pressure on you. I knew that we have the potential and the weapons to beat them, I also knew that they are a really good team with good individuals. I told my guys that today if we win, it’s not individually, we must win as a team, and I think we did great as a team today. I’m proud of that.

It does feel like you have had some individual resurgence amongst your team, woxic with some great clutch moments and XANTARES was obviously huge today. Why do you think you have hit your peak again?

I think we started really well this year and after that we had a break, so maybe the break slowed us down. We also didn’t add XANTARES for one month and we played with xfl0ud, and we practiced all the maps with xfl0ud and changed a lot of things. Then when XANTARES came back we rechanged everything, so it was a lot of work you know.

It depends on our form. Today I’m really glad that we played good Counter-Strike, and you know that Counter-Strike can be like, when you are on a bad day and you lose, everyone criticizes you, and when you win everyone salutes you. I understand that and I just try to to my job, I just try to be good as a leader and a player in my team. I’m very glad that today we won and that we have a chance to win a trophy, and I will give everything I have in my heart and my body to do that. Hopefully I can achieve that.

You’ve got The MongolZ tomorrow, a team who have overall had your number. They’ve beaten you more times than you have beaten them, and a year ago they played you in the Skyesports Championship final and beat you. How are you feeling about that matchup?

Playing against them is always a spicy match. I think it’s one of the teams this year who progressed the most, they play really good Counter-Strike and are really good individually. This is their biggest weapon, it’s not only two or three stars, but all five players are shooting really well, I think this is their strength. So we will see, it’s going to be a good match for us and we will give everything for a win.

What would it mean to you to win this tournament?

Yes… a lot. Let’s see if I can, but for sure I will give everything I have in my body, in my mind, every part of energy in my spirit, I will give everything. If I’m champion I’m in it, it’s for me, and if I don’t, it means I miss something. That’s life, you know? I accept it now, but for no regrets I will give everything I have.

Aurora Reach the Grand Final of the Esports World Cup 2025!

Aurora, Esports World Cup 2025 Büyük Finali'nde!

Our representative Aurora secured a spot in the Grand Final of the Esports World Cup 2025 after defeating Falcons 2-0 in the semi-finals.

With this victory, Aurora advanced to the final stage of the event for the first time since joining the organization. Previously, under the Eternal Fire banner, they had played in the BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals.

Aurora Storm Through the Maps!

The semi-final kicked off on Inferno, where Aurora made a strong start on the T side. Although Falcons frequently gained player advantages, they couldn’t stop the high form of İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş and Özgür “woxic” Eker. Aurora closed the half with a dominant 9-3 T side performance.

Winning the pistol round on defense, Aurora quickly reached map point. While Falcons managed to grab a few rounds, they couldn’t find a way back, and Aurora closed the first map 13-6.

The second map was Train, where Aurora started hot thanks to a stunning 1v4 clutch from Samet “jottAAA” Köklü. Despite taking a 5-1 lead, Aurora allowed Falcons to recover, and the half ended 7-5 in favor of the Falcons.

In the second half, Falcons won the pistol and took the lead, but a critical 1v3 clutch by captain Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli and the resulting economic advantage swung the momentum back to Aurora. As Falcons were forced onto weaker buys in the closing rounds, Aurora sealed the map 13-11 and the series 2-0 to book their place in the Grand Final.

Aurora HEROIC Karşısında Galip Gelerek EWC Yarı Final Aşamasına Yükseldi!

Our representative Aurora secured a spot in the Semi-Finals of the Esports World Cup 2025 after a 2-0 victory against HEROIC.

Aurora, competing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, swept HEROIC 2-0 in the quarterfinals of the Esports World Cup 2025. With map wins on Mirage (13-7) and Dust2 (13-11), the Turkish squad is now just one step away from the grand final.

On the opening map Mirage, Aurora quickly built an 11-1 lead. During this stretch, İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş dominated with 21 kills and 165 ADR.

Aurora went on to claim the pistol round, putting them on map point. Although HEROIC attempted a short comeback, Aurora’s decisive A-split attack closed out the map 13-7.

Dust2 was much closer, ending the first half in a 6-6 tie. Aurora’s Özgür “woxic” Eker and rising talent Alimzhan “Alkaren” Bitimbai both stood out with 14 kills each.

In the second half, HEROIC managed to take the lead at 11-10. However, Aurora turned the tide with clutch individual performances, stringing together crucial retakes and winning the final round in a 3v5 situation. They closed the map 13-11 and the series 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals.

tN1R Bids Farewell to HEROIC!

With his departure already announced, tN1R’s elimination from the Esports World Cup 2025 marked the end of his journey with HEROIC. Rumored to be transferring to Spirit, he had previously eliminated them in the earlier round. Now, he is set to join the very team he knocked out, replacing zont1x.

Aurora’s Semi-Final Opponent: Falcons!

Aurora will face Falcons in the semi-finals. The Arab representatives, considered the “home team” due to the event being held in Saudi Arabia, have historically struggled against Aurora. Everything points to a fierce battle ahead.
