Ahead of making the transition to Counter-Strike 2, 9INE has extended the contracts of their current squad. The stated goal is to attend more top-tier events in 2023 and secure a spot in the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major in March 2024.
In August 2022, 9INE relaunched its CS:GO division after nine months of inactivity due to the resignation of their Swedish lineup by signing Wiktor “mynio” Kruk and his teammates. The Poles reached new levels after Olek “hades” Miskiewicz joined the team in January, and they qualified for both the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown and IEM Rio.
The cohesiveness of 9INE’s players and their tactical proficiency on maps like Vertigo carried the team from the No. 44 ranking in January to their highest position at No. 17.
After a perfect 3-0 performance at the European RMR in April, Piotr “nawrot” Nawrocki’s squad recently became the first Polish team to qualify for a Valve-sponsored event in over five years. The team finished the Paris Major with a 0-3 result after unable to maintain the same level of play in the Legends stage.
