Since the beginning of the universe, the summer season has been an exciting time for video game enthusiasts. Starting in June, most major gaming companies will hold an event to promote their current and future games. After a long dry year, the summer season of 2021 seems to be full of these events. In this article, we will be talking about all the events that will take place in the summer of 2021.
Guerrilla Colective 2
After the cancellation of the E3 event in 2020, new game events emerged and one of them was Guerilla Collective. During the last year we had the chance to see many indie games and big names such as Baldur’s Gate 3. This year, we will see game trailers, gameplay videos and hopefully more. Don’t expect news about big games at this event. But if you are an indie game lover, definitely keep track. The event will take place on two different days.

Black Voices In Gaming
Black Voices in Gaming is an event that focuses on black game developers’ games and games that have black protagonists.

Indie Live Expo
More than 300 indie games will be showcased at the Indie Live Expo, a Japanese event sponsored by companies like Microsoft, Sony, and Koch Media. Indie game lovers should also take a look at this event.

Battlefield 6 Reveal Event
Electronic Arts will unveil the long-awaited Battlefield 6 on June 9. EA will also hold an event in July where further details about the next Battlefield will be revealed. I hope this event satisfies the players until then.

Summer Game Fest
As a result of the E3 2020’s cancellation, Geoff Keighley, one of the most established names in the video game media industry, organized his own fully digital event called Summer Game Fest. The event consisted of several different events spanning the months of June and July. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, Star Wars Squadron and Unreal Engine 5 technical demo were showcased at the event. This year’s Summer Game Fest will kick off on June 10 and will continue throughout June with various events and live streams. Games from both large and small companies will be introduced at the event.

Koch Primetime
Koch Media will host its own digital event a day before E3 2021. There is also no certain information about which games the company will introduce.

IGN Expo
On June 11, gaming media site IGN will host the IGN Expo event. IGN Expo is not expected to be on the same scale as some of the other events taking place in June, but it will still host some new game and share announcements.

Returning for its second year, this event will showcase more than 75 indie games.

E3 2021
The biggest event of the gaming industry E3 returns this year. During this years event, big companies such as Xbox, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Square Enix, Capcom and Konami will introduce over 60 new games.

Ubisoft Forward 2021
On the first day of E3 2021, Ubisoft will host the Ubisoft Forward event. Fans will likely find out about the next Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Immortals Fenyx Rising, expansions as well as further info on upcoming games like Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine.

Devolver Digital
Devolver Digital has gained fame over the past few years for particularly bizarre presentations. Even if their event doesn’t feature the biggest game launches, it’s almost always packed with fun moments.

Xbox & Bethesda E3 Event
Xbox and Bethesda will hold a joint event for E3 2021. Nothing concrete has been confirmed about it, but we’ll definitely learn something new about games like Halo Infinite and Starfield. If we are lucky, information about Elder Scrolls 6 will also be shared. It’s also possible that brand new projects will be announced as a result of Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda last fall (pls New Vegas 2).

PC Gaming Show 2021
Presented by PC Gamer, the PC Gaming Show will be an official part of E3 2021 and an event dedicated solely to PC gaming. While there is no confirmed list of developers and publishers for this year’s event yet, the games featured at the event will include both indie titles and upcoming AAA titles.

Future Games Show
The Future Games Show, hosted by GamesRadar, is another event taking place in E3 2021. Like the PC Gaming Show, there is no details but expect a bit of everything.

Nintendo E3 Event
Another participant of this year’s E3 2021 is Nintendo. Pokémon Diamond and Pearl will receive a remastered version this year, and the first open world Pokémon game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, is also scheduled for release in January 2022. New gameplay footage covering these games may be shown at the event. Nintendo might also share something in regards to The Legend of Zelda’s 35th anniversary. Zelda fans are very hopeful for news about Breath of the Wild 2. There is also widespread speculation about a new Nintendo Switch model that is rumored to debut before E3. While nothing has been confirmed, a new “Switch Pro” with updated features will be an exciting announcement for fans.

Square Enix E3 Event
Square Enix will also hold an event for E3 2021. There will be many games at the event that will be released both in 2021 and for the coming years. These will include Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 (hopefully), Final Fantasy 16, Life Is Strange: True Colors, and the new mysterious Guardians of the Galaxy game.

Limited Run Games 2021
Limited Run Games is known for releasing physical copies of games that would otherwise be digital only. As the company’s name suggests, these games are only available in limited quantities. It is unknown if new games will be introduced in this event, but follow this event if you still like to have physical games.

Steam Next Fest 2021
Steam Game Festival has been renamed to Steam Next Fest, but the content will likely remain the same. According to the official announcement, the event will offer a chance to play hundreds of game demos, watch developer live streams, and chat with the developers about games in development.

Warframe Tennocon 2021
Taking place after E3 2021, Tennocon 2021 is an online event dedicated to the free MMORPG Warframe and will cover the future of Warframe. Tennocon attendees can also purchase exclusive digital content and product bundles to celebrate the 2021 event.

PAX ONLINE 2021
PAX East will be online this year. The event will feature game panels, live streams, new game demos, tournaments and “exclusive experiences”.

EA Play Live 2021
Electronic Arts is one of the companies that will not attend E3 this year and has decided to prepare its own digital event. In this year’s event, we will definitely learn new information about Battlefield 6, Madden 22, FIFA 22, The Sims and Apex Legends. I hope that new information about Bioware games will be shared at the event.

QuakeCon 2021
Bethesda will continue to hold its QuakeCon in 2021, despite being acquired by Microsoft. The event developed around series like Doom and Quake, but then became a place to share information about all of Bethesda’s games.

Gamescom 2021
Celebrated in the city of Cologne, Germany, the annual event will be held as an online event, leaving the hybrid format of 2020 behind for safety reasons. The opening night will feature Geoff Keighley and the event will close the summer gaming event season.

Sony
Sony will not attend E3 this year, but we know that it will at least have one state of play livestream this summer. Unfortunately, there is no information about when this event will happen.
