Valorant First Strike, organized by Riot Games, is still having its first open qualifiers in Turkey. Today, the first semi-final was played in the upper bracket and BBL Esports managed to rise to the First Strike qualifier#1 finals.
The first semi-final qualifier match that brought BBL Esports and Anatolia Esports was quite exciting. Played in the Best of 3 format, the series also became the first Valorant First Strike series to be broadcasted.
BBL Esports vs. Anatolia Esports
The first map of the competition was Ascent. BBL Esports started as the Attackers and even though they lost the first two rounds, they made a perfect comeback. They won 9 rounds in a row and dropped the resistance of their opponent Anatolia Esports. Keeping the same pace in the second half of the match, BBL Esports won the match with the score 13-1 and took the lead in the series by 1-0.
The second map of the competition was Bind. This match was more challenging compared to the first one. Anatolian Esports, who started as the Attackers, played a nice first half. They managed to win 6 rounds in a defender map, Bind. However, in the second half, the determination was gone. BBL Esports played a better defence and won the match with the score 13-10. As a result, they won the series by 2-0 and got qualified to participate in Valorant First Strike Qualifier#1 Finals.
The MVP was aimDLL, who was a driving force in both of the matches. During the matches, there were other players that got attention but aimDLL was ahead of everyone for sure.
BBL Esports is now really close to becoming one of the teams that will play in First Strike Finals after the results of First Strike Qualifier#1. They are only one bracket behind.
Their opponent will be the winner of the competition between Oxygen Esports vs HaZe Clan which will start today at 19.10. You can watch the live competition from RiotGamesTurkish’s Twitch channel.
