FromSoftware’s highly anticipated RPG, Elden Ring, has received its second trailer at the end of Summer Games Fest, two years after its initial announcement at E3 2019. The game also got a release date which is January 21, 2022.
Elden Ring, is a collaborative project between the game’s director Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin. You can watch the trailer down below.
Elden Ring, is a new action and role-playing game being developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was first announced at the E3 2019. So why does the game excite players so much? In fact, the main key part of the game is in its world and story. As I mentioned above, the game’s story is partially written by George R. R. Martin, the creator of Game of Thrones.
So how did Martin get involved in the game? Hideteka Miyazaki, who is the director of the game and is known for games such as the Souls series, Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, created this game specifically for especially George R. R. Martin. A big fan of George Martin’s work, Hideteka Miyazaki contacted Martin and gave him the creative freedom to create the game’s lore. That’s why even those who are just fans of George Martin are interested in the game.
The 3-minute trailer shows the dark and gritty environment of the game, both magical and close combat, as well as a few enemies that will be in the game. It looks to be an extensive game. Although the trailer is only three minutes long, it is enough to excite most fans. It seems that the players waiting for Elden Ring will get their money’s worth. After the masterpiece that is Sekiro, the bars are high.
If you’ve played any of Hideteka Miyazaki previous games, such as the Souls series, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Elden Ring may look quite familiar to you. As in the previous games, there are spells, different creatures and an atmosphere similar to the LOTR, but more gritty. As an extra, there is also a flying horse, this time. The claims made by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment are bold, to say the least. The developer and publisher of the game say that Elden Ring will be the best in its genre. First, we have to see some real gameplay though.
Elden Ring will be releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One S/X, Xbox Series S/X and PC on January 21, 2022. Click here, for further information.
