Red Bull Gaming, the gaming arm of energy drink company Red Bull, and FPS training tool Aim Lab collaborated together to organize a competition that will determine the top aimer in gaming.
A new mode on Aim Lab, which includes nine specific challenges for measuring raw aim, will be used for the tournament. The three aiming basis of switching, flicking, and tracking are the primary focus of the mode. Any participant with an account is able to take part in the events and earn a chance to compete in the Championship, which will be held on July 29 in Dallas, Texas, for a $50,000 prize pool.
In addition, Red Bull will hold four online pop-up tournaments around the US, sharing a permanent leaderboard apart from the main ladder. The participant who finished the four events with the highest score also qualifies for the Championship. The winner of a final-chance qualifier during the morning of the main event, right before the Championship, will receive the final qualifying slot.
Since the company first came into the market with its 2017 EU League of Legends Challenger Series Red Bulls team, Red Bull‘s esports partnerships have advanced significantly. Currently, the company collaborates with a wide range of organizations, including Heroic, team Heretics, T1, and an F1 esports sim racing team. Additionally, it offers a range of esports competitions, particularly in the fighting game industry.
With an old relationship with the Call of Duty League in 2022 and a strengthened partnership with VALORANT developer Riot Games, Aim Lab is another participant in the market that is becoming more active.
The app now offers challenges that are exclusive to VALORANT and has a name sponsor for the VCT EMEA through a three-year agreement.
