Shadow League 1 tournament, which started on 15 January and in which Sangal Esports was invited, will not be broadcasted in Turkish. The Turkish esports organization, Sangal Esports, has a wide audience in Turkey, however, the fans cannot watch the tournament in Turkish. Turkish caster Özgür ‘root‘ Alagül posted the news on his Twitter account.
Shadow League 1 tournament has begun with 16 invited teams and a prize pool worth $30,000. Turkish representative Sangal Esports currently has 1 win and 1 lose.
Turkish audience was able to watch Sangal’s matches with a Turkish hosting from Özgür ‘root‘ Alagül’s Twitch channel, as always.
However, Shadow League 1 authorities have decided to keep the broadcasting rights to themselves. Which means, Turkish fans of Sangal Esports will only be able to watch the competitions in different languages. With this decision, Shadow League seems only to be thinking its own interest, and as a result, fans are still sharing their reactions to the situation.
From now on, Turkish fans can follow Sangal Esports’ Shadow League 1 matches from the official Shadow League Twitch channel. We are hoping for this decision to not last long. Hopefully, Turkish fans will be able to support their teams, by understanding the matches that they are playing.
