Eternal Fire, aka Turkish Super Team, left IEM Fall 2021 European Closed Qualifiers after loosing to Fnatic. After the series, we had an interview with Eternal Fire manager Azmican “asmo” Berberoğlu. In this interview, we talked about the current status and future of the team.
- At the end of the 12-round series in the Vertigo map, Fnatic established a serious superiority. Although you tried, in the end, Eternal Fire lost its chance for a IEM Fall 2021 Europe Ticket. What went wrong in the series for Eternal?
In contrast to Tuesday, our performance today was definitely better. In general, I can say that we were able to evaluate the situations as best as we could. However, (Fnatic player) KRIMZ spoiled our game a lot with his individual performance and we couldn’t win the series.
- The team will face Ukrainian team B8 at Malta Vibes Knockout Series 2 tomorrow. If you win, the team will face top30 teams like FURIA, Sinners, and Entropiq. What would you like to say about this?
Since we are a new team, we try to improve our performance in official matches by working harder, and training every match. We work against the top30 every day in our training sessions. So there is no big difference for us.
- Did the team get any new invitations?
We have official tournaments ahead of us like Malta Vibes and REPUBLEAGUE. I am sure that we will receive invitations to many more official tournaments in the future.
As esportimes, we wish Eternal Fire good luck in the upcoming tournaments.
