In a recent announcement, German CS:GO BIG removed İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş from its main lineup. With the transfer of Nicklas “gade” Gade, there was a surplus of one person in the squad. That’s why XANTARES has been added to BIG’s transfer list.
XANTARES made a statement about the transfer!
Here is the XANTARES’ statement:
“I have decided to follow a new path both for my career and for myself. Therefore, I shall not be at the BIG Organization next term. Aside from the good times I have spent while I played at BIG I have also had the opportunity to be able to realize my dream of being ‘Top 1’ among the teams rating and we succeeded in making our team the world’s number one. I have made many good friends and I shall cherish my memories with them and I shall always remember these times with good sentiments. I would like to take this opportunity to express to BIG my gratitude for having given me their support in this regard as always.”

The CEO of the organization, Daniel Finkler, said in his statement that they were “evaluating the most suitable option for all parties”. He also stated that they will share the developments on the subject as soon as possible. Xantares ,in 2020, had extended his contract until the end of 2021 with a one-year extension.

XANTARES joined BIG in late 2018. With a few minor roster changes, Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz and Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch formed a core that would last more than two and a half years.
The team had a turbulent year in 2019, especially with the retirement of one of the key players of the squad, Fatih “Gob b” Dayik. Then, with the transfer of Nils “k1to” Gruhne and Florian “syrsoN” Rische in 2020, the team achieved the balance it wanted. They managed to reach their first LAN victory with DreamHack Open Leipzig. These were followed by five international success. In the end, the team achieved their dream of first place that would last for 2 months. During this successful course, XANTARES won HLTV’s MVP award with his outstanding performance at DreamHack Open Summer.
However, this successful trend did not continue in 2021. The German organization decided to take on an international role in 2018. However, with the gade transfer, the squad will have the opportunity to play in their mother tongue again.
XANTARES Shared His Gratitude!
“When I first transferred to BIG, I had the anxiety of going to a completely foreign country and environment. I thought that I would be alone in a place where everyone spoke German, which I did not know at all, and that I would not be able to mix easily due to the language barrier. However, the sincerity of the actors and especially Nuran sister and Yılmaz brother relieved me. The interest and care they showed during my adaptation process allowed me to adapt to the team and Germany very quickly. Thanks to their efforts, I did not experience any mental problems, and this has already brought success. In fact, sister Nuran used to cook us some of my favorite Turkish dishes. This is a great effort and dedication. You don’t get this much attention in many teams. During my time at BIG, sister Nuran and brother Yılmaz have been a great support to me and I cannot repay their rights. But now is the time to embark on a new path. Of course, one day I would be on a different team. But that does not mean that I will forget them and their efforts. I am very grateful and express my gratitude to BIG fans, everyone who took part in and took part in the team, and most importantly, Nuran and Yılmaz, who have always had a special place in me.“
