We have a confirmation that the next Dota 2 Major will indeed be held in Singapore. As we stated in our previous article that you can read here, there was a leaked blog post on the PGL website that stated this fact. The blog post quickly got deleted.
Now we have a full confirmation. You can read the full blog post here. After a 14 month break, The first DOTA 2 Major will take place in Singapore between March 27 – April 4.
Here is a quote from Silviu Stroie, CEO of PGL:
We are pleased to come back to Singapore for another great tournament after the Dota 2 Singapore Invitational 2019. PGL is honored to present the first Major of Winter 21 DPC, which will occur in one of the safest places possible – Singapore. After running The Manila Major and The Kuala Lumpur Major, we are now returning with another memorable event in Southeast Asia. We are committed to this region with a strategic partnership with Singapore’s primary trade association for esports; the Singapore Games Association (SGGA), and we are more than happy to run great events for SEA and Dota 2 over and over again
ONE Esports & PGL will be the tournaments organizers. This will also be the first DOTA 2 tournament to be streamed at 4K resolution.
