Norwegian esports organization Apeks has been trying to reform its CS:GO squad for some time now. For this purpose, the organization signed with Martin “STYKO” Styk, who previously played for MOUZ and FunPlus Phoenix teams. The organization announced on its official Twitter account.
Apeks had decided to continue with only Asger “AcilioN” Larsen from last year’s roster and parted ways with all the remaining players. The organization, which has entered a long revision period, recently signed with Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad, Hugo “Chawzyyy” Günther and Tim ”nawwk” Jonasson.
The organization, which set out to establish an even more ambitious team, brought together young talents such as “chawzyyy” and experienced players such as “STYKO“.
Although “STYKO” played in a strong team like MOUZ in the past, his performance is no longer good as he used to be. He had a very unstable performance, especially when playing under the FunPlus Phoenix jersey. Ultimately, in October, FunPlus Phoenix announced that it would withdraw from the CS:GO competitive scene.
STYKO played his last match with his former team in the IEM Winter closed qualifiers.

Establishing a brand new roster, the organization is burning with major ambition. Mixed of young and experienced players, the team will aim for nothing less.
Apeks’ Head of Esports Anders Kjær said:
Martin with his experience and knowledge of the game is a master of CS. He will bring the stability and know-how that we need in this new lineup. He knows so much about the game, and he has experience from several international lineups.
STYKO, who has been looking for a team for a while, was very happy with the offer from the Apeks team. The veteran player said:
Despite having a lot of known and proven players around me, I’m most excited about working with our young-gun chawzyyy. He is the talent I would like to work with and help him develop into a star. And that is partly what I will bring to the team. Guidance, experience, and general approach are all something I can aid the team with.
The fans of the team are very happy with the newly formed roster and expect a lot from them. The team is in a pretty good mood and we’ll see what they can achieve.
