London-based esports organization Fnatic has signed a deal with Crypto.com, a cryptocurrency exchange, for more than $15 million.
Crypto.com will be Fnatic’s first crypto partner. This was also the exchange’s first attempt at an esports partnership. The platform has already partnered with major sports brands such as the UFC, Formula 1, Serie A and Paris Saint-Germain.
The partnership will offer special rewards to fans of both Fnatic and Crypto.com. Fnatic will also get a special NFT collection.
As part of the deal, the Crypto.com brand will be featured on Fnatic’s team jerseys. The cryptocurrency exchange will work with Fnatic for a variety of other activities, including branded in-game experiences and physical events.
Various global esports organizations such as TSM, Astralis, Natus Vincere, and Virtus Pro have partnered with cryptocurrency exchanges over the past few months. With this deal, Fnatic has also joined in on the trend.
