Norwegian organization Nordavind is preparing to part ways with Sabit “mirbit” Coktasar and his team after six months. Subsequently, Nordavind added its current roster to the transfer list to create a new squad.
The team has added their mixed squad consisting of Danish, Estonian and German players to the transfer list, with the decisions taken at the beginning of the week. Thus, the organization is now free to form a new roster.
The squad was in 58th place in the overall ranking. According to Stein Wilmann, Managing Director of the organization, the reason for this staff change is not actually performance related. On the other hand, there are a number of strategic reasons behind the transfer. Wilmann continued with his statements:
“Over the past years we have built a very close relationship with HS and with TENZKI, which is why the decision was not easy for us, but we believe it is the right move in terms of our goals and ambitions for the future of the organization.”
In the announcement, they also stated that they were not completely leaving the CS:GO scene. Plus, the manager stated that there will be no change in the young Nordavind Talent team, which focuses on the Norwegian and Scandinavian scene. The General Manager also added that former Cloud9 assistant coach Joshua “m1cks” Micks, who assumed the role of Nordavind Head coach in June, will remain with the organization.
German in-game leader Mirbit, 24, told HLTV:
“Unfortunately, we couldn’t reach our goals with the lineup even though we gave 100%,”
“We fought through a lot of adversity, changes in the coaching staff, and other things that can’t be controlled. … Every member of this team would be a great asset for whoever is searching for talented and dedicated individuals.”
In addition, Mirbit, who still has a contract with Nordavind, added that the team was a good opportunity for players.
These are the players who are on the transfer list:
- Daniel “mertz” Mertz
- Jesper “TENZKI” Plougmann
- Kevin “HS” Tarn
- Anton “supra” Tšernobai
- Sabit “mirbit” Coktasar
Nordavind may end their search for new team with O PLANO squad!
A claim emerged just hours after it was revealed that Nordavind was looking for a new roster. Allegedly, the Norwegian organization is in talks with the O PLANO squad, which has been without an organization for the past 7 months.
The Brazilian squad parted ways with MIBR at the beginning of 2021. Then FURIA’s former AWPer Henrique “HEN1” Teles joined the roster. Afterwards, the team, which could not find financial support, united around the name O PLANO with the departure of Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe and Alencar “trk” Rossato. Although trk was not in the squad at the beginning, he was also included in the main squad.
After placing fourth at cs_summit 8, North America’s first regional major ranking event of the year, and second in North America DreamHack Open June, the team currently ranks 35th in the world.
The members of this squad are as follows:
- Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe
- Henrique “HEN1” Teles
- Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles
- Leonardo “leo_drk” Oliveira
- Vinicius “vsm” Moreira
- Alencar “trk” Rossato
- Raphael “cogu” Camargo (coach)
