CNed: “I Didn’t Quit from BBL For Nolpenki!”

One of the most popular players of the Valorant Turkey scene Mehmet İpek ‘cNed’ Yağız, had an interview with the website THESPIKE.GG. The famous player evaluated the esports agenda and the Valorant scene.

First of all, he caught the attention of many with his 6-man kill highlight during the Twitch Rivals: VALORANT Launch Showdown EU 2, that success followed by increased performance. Currently, he is on the roster of the nolpenki.

cNed Announced His New Team!

He discussed many topics with THSPIKE.GG starting from his leaving from the BBL and to the Valorant scene in Turkey.

Interview

CNed, who has been on the CS: GO scene since his young age, explained why he switched to Valorant as follows;

There is not enough investment for CS:GO anymore and it means Turkish players can’t achieve or earn what they deserve. So, I chose the Valorant not only because Riot Games has offices in Turkey, but also because I hope it would be more popular among Turkish players.

”It was an unforgettable moment,” he said when asked about his magnificent 6 scores in the Twitch Rivals tournament mentioned above;

“That was an unforgettable moment for me. I was performing pretty bad in that match, but after I had that 6-man clutch, I regained my self-confidence and we won that semi-final. No wonder we have an aggressive playstyle, and my agent also contributes to this. This is probably why I am successful. Honestly, I feel bad for saying this, but yeah, I sometimes play out of the plan.”

He answered the following questions about his departure from BBL Esports that caused controversy on the esports agenda;

“I didn’t leave BBL Esports for nolpenki. We couldn’t agree on the contract terms with BBL and then I reviewed offers from other teams. And eventually, we formed the nolpenki roster. Now I’m walking on this path.”

After that, he mentioned he was reviewing offers from other teams and joined nolpenki. When asked about the possibility of joining Fnatic, which is quite obvious they will join the Valorant scene next year, he refused to comment on the subject. This action left a question mark in minds about cNed joining Fnatic.

These were the highlights of a successful Turkish player cNed’s interview with THESPIKE.GG. If you would like to read the entire interview, you can find it here.
