Oxygen Esports has challenged BBL Esports!

The VALORANT team, which has proven itself in Europe under the name Looking4org, challenged BBL Esports shortly after joining Oxygen Esports in recent weeks.

These two teams played a show match which is called Best in the West Valorant Showdown, after a tweet from Team Liquid’s Twitter account targeting the undefeatability of G2 Esports in recent weeks. Team Liquid managed to beat G2 Esports, which won all of the European cups. In addition, TL team said to G2 “see you at the First Strike event”, recently announced by Riot Games.

Everyone was satisfied after the show match which was also witnessed by esports supporters. On the top of that, why not such a challenge take place between the two important Valorant representatives of our country, Oxygen Esports and BBL Esports?

There is still no response to Oxygen Esports’s challenge to BBL Esports on September 29. We hope they get an answer as soon as possible by the BBL Esports and we get to enjoy watching such a match that will determine which team is the best one in Turkey.

Gamer Arena Has Received Second Investment with 3.5 Million Euros Valuation by Fenerbahçe’s Former Player Neustädter

0

Gemer Arena, which is an esports platform established with Turkish domestic enterprises, has received 3.5 million € investment from the former player of Fenerbahçe, Roman Neustädter.

Founded by Hakan Baş, Bora Koçyiğit, Dorukhan Acar, Orkun Işıtmak, and Mustafa Tatlıcı and started to serve on March 15, 2020, Gamer Arena managed to receive an investment of 3.5 million Euros before the 7th month anniversary of the organization.

Gamer Arena is an esports platform that is built on competitive games and gathers players together while earning various awards.

Completely established as a local enterprise with Mustafa Tatlıcı’s valuation of 1.1 million dollars, Gamer Arena has a staff of 8 employees. CEO of the organization is Doruk Gezici and Kerim Yılmaz is the COO.

CEO Doruk Gezici commented in a release for egirisim.com;

Esports continues to grow rapidly all over the world. However, the possibility of cashing out the game skills of a person who wants to be a professional player is limited

As a bridge between the esports industry and game industry, which is many times bigger, we provide the opportunity to earn money with a more sustainable model than sponsorship for the players who do not have opportunity to be a professional, and create an atmosphere for these players to prove themselves and find opponents in their level

With the investment tour we will make at the end of the year, we aim to be a global platform that serves millions of players in the world by expanding to the MENA region and Eastern Europe which has been our main goal since our establishment. On the technical side, an image processing system that will automate the refereeing processes, feeding our current system that captures multi accounts and fake transactions with machine learning and a matching system that will smooth the process of playing with the same level opponents are our goals for 1 year.

Doruk Gezici

Comment from esportimes.com, We would like to congratulate the domestic enterprise Gamer Arena and wish them a continued success with our wish to see more enterprises like this in our country. You can visit the Gamer Arena website to get more information or to participate in tournaments organized by them.

TESFED Başkanı Alper Afşin Özdemir’e Eleştiri esportimes

President of Turkish Esports Federation Alper Afşin Özdemir sat on an agenda because of his tweet. President of TESFED Alper Afşin Özdemir visited the camp where Hado National Team was held, he stated; “I have full faith that we will win our first medal in esports at the national team level in France“.

But, the 2016 World Championships Champion is Turkey!

After the visitation to Hado National Team auditions, TESFED President Alper Afşin Özdemir’s tweet caused a discussion in the esports world. He became the subject to criticism from followers because when he tweeted those words, he forgot that Turkey had already won the 2016 World Championships.

Turkish Esports Federation Board Member Bora Koçyiğit tried to respond criticisms instead of Alper Afşin Özdemir. In response to the criticism, he said the following words;

Friends, representation of the country as a national team exists only if there is a team approved and selected by a federation

There are other national teams of Turkey who succeeded in the point of representing the country but none of them are official

Do not confuse the concepts!

Whoever has represented our country and raised our flag, has a permanent place in our hearts!

Mavera Answered; Why Looking4Org is not invited!?

0
valorant-esportimes-mavera

A few days ago, the LVL team announced their Valorant Clash 2 tournament on their Twitter account and asked their followers to tag the teams they would like to see at the event. As for the teams, they asked “why should you be invited?” and linked an application form.

When they announced the 16 teams that were invited, we hoped that we would see 2 of the Turkish teams, however only one of them managed to get an invitation.

During the days when almost all the invited teams were clear, the looking4org team, which was not on the list, did not wait long to react to it.

As esportimes.com, we reached out to looking4org crew for the questions everyone is thinking and wanted to hear them out. Erim ‘Mavera’ Şaşal, explained us the invitation process of the Valorant Clash 2 tournament and answered our questions on behalf of his teammates.

  • Did you reach out to LVL team about not getting an invitation? Was there any explanation about the situation?

  • You wouldn’t believe who wrote for us to them from Europe besides us, but we did not get a reply. They stated that they have more important criterias besides success. Briefly they said: “We know your success, it is obvious from the charts. But we are looking for better criteria than that, to whom the players reach is more important for us.” To sum up, not being connected to an agency, not having a deal with an organization yet or the not having too much followers on our social media sites like Twitter and Twitch, came before our success and overshadowed it.

  • We pulled some strings and tried to get attention from Twitter. Because in the previous tournament, the Bonk team also faced similar issues. Bonk played in the play-offs in the last Ignition series and after that oddly, they did not get an invitation for the next series, which we think they should have. As you know, Bonk has an important player such as Yacine who has played on FPL before, who has a crowd from Sweden. They reacted to this situation as a team and because of it, they had a lot of people who believed in them and supported them.

The people we trust: “Don’t, don’t draw attention”…

  • We wanted to do the same but we got a lot of backlash from Turkey. We even got sayings like don’t draw attention from the people we trust and consult to. Of course, as the Turkish people, we love to sit on our couches and think that there is nothing to do when we face an unfair situation. But I am not a person like that, neither my teammates. We wanted to make a sound, get justice. There is a chart which is made by an independent company who gives points to every tournament and according to those points, we get a rank in the chart. We, as looking4org, are in the 6th place in the Europe league. We are not mad about the teams way below us on the chart got invited. However, I will not give names but especially 2-3 teams have changed their staff or have just established a short time ago. They did not participate even in a C-Tier tournament but managed to get invitation. This is the reason why we are looking for justice. Our reaction is towards these kinds of things, we are not saying anything to the teams that have played on Ignition series before.

  • Okay, about the organisation topic. As you know other than BBL, the Turkish team Sangal is arranging a team and even though it is not certain yet, names like mini, rip, Sasuke are being mentioned. Digital Athletics and fastPay Wildcats have just announced their new teams. We don’t hear you with any Turkish teams, and there is a perception of maybe your goal is an Europe organization. What do you say about this? What are your goals and demands?

  • As for the organization, I am not really hopeful about Valorant Turkey for now. There is no investments. The esport teams in Turkey are waiting for Riot. It is said that the first steps for the league will be made after March of 2021. Of course the progress of Covid-19 is really important. The teams who are not ready at the end of the last quarter of 2020, will not be able to find any players when the league is ready. I don’t think that the organizations are aware of this fact.
  • We don’t think that we will be able to make any agreements with Turkish organizations. Because of the exchange difference, the offers we get from Europe are really high that probably no Turkish organization will offer. Now after all, not enough investments are made to esport teams in Turkey, I really don’t think that they can reach the offers we get from other countries.

  • Basically, you are saying something similar to Xantares. He said; “We get a monthly payment of what our opponents spend on an evening dinner in Europe.”

  • Yes, something like that. I mean, of course we are not expecting really high payments but the teams that reach to us are all known in Europe. Meaning that they can put us in to these tournaments. These are the teams that trust us, consider investing in us and constantly keep in touch with us.
  • Then, I am writing that you have a few offers on the table?

  • Sure, we have more than two active offers.

  • I hope everything will be as you hope. pAura is appeared to be in Inferno’s crew, did he leave? Is he in Inferno only for this event? Can you enlighten us?

  • As you know, Melih is also a player of Prodigy agency. It is one of the well-established esport agencies of France and even Europe. Since we did not get an invitation and there is no tournaments in schedule since 4th of September, he considered the offer from the agency. He will play in this event as stand-in. Melih is really talented and Prodigy is very well aware of that. He gets a lot of offers over the agency but in order not to leave us, he rejected all the offers until now. We already discussed this when we were establishing, if any of us gets an offer from a really good team and he really wants to join them, then the person will leave. We as a team want the best for each other. If a leave separation like this takes place, we will get another player who is compatible with us and move on, there will be no such thing as a break up.

  • Maybe you might have tried a different name other than looking4org? As you know, on the CS:GO side, the team with their new name as 9INE was playing with their own name and after their success, they made a deal with an organization.

  • Actually, we did not plan the name of the team, I just registered to Team Liquid Academy tournament as this, I am the one who put the name but I did not plan this team would carry one and get to some places. I completely wrote it like this because it just popped on to my mind. After we won $500 from that tournament, we decided as a team that “Guys I think we hit the jackpot, let’s not give up. Continue with this name.” after a short time, we became the first team in Turkey who registered their crew to Actually, there were 9 teams all from Europe and we became the 10th team. After that, we were going to make a brand, even the logo was ready but with the opinions that we got from others, we decided not to change our name. At the end, when you say looking4org in Valorant Europe scene, we are the first one to come up to mind. We created a brand without noticing. There are a lot of teams like looking4org or similar in other games but we are the unforgettable ones in Valorant.

  • Then, I will not take any more of your time since the training time is coming. Is there anything you would like to add?

  • Thank you for listening and taking time to be with us. I hope you reach the success you are aiming for.

As Esport Times, we had the chance to meet and listen to Erim. I hope they manage to get a deal with an organization suitable for them and represent our country in the best way. We listened to looking4org about not getting an invitation and shared it with you, and we are still trying to reach to LVL team. You can be sure that we will edit the article and add when they make a statement. Keep on following, so long!

Interview with Özgür “Büyükayı” Develi founder of PUBG Turkish League

0
Özgür ''büyükayı'' Develi

1. Could you please talk about yourself?

  • Hi I’m Özgür, people knows me as BüyükAyı. I’m 28 years old. I have been playing PUBG as professional level for 2 years. I am the team member of with fastPay Wildcats organisation right now. We created new team,we continue had a great harmony with my team mates are Baran, Berat and Bilal so we continue to work.

2. What kind of contributions you made  for development of PUBG in Turkey?

“WE HAVE OUR OWN LEAGUE NOW!”

  • I am one of the first member and now director of PUBG Turkish Esport Community which is biggest organisation in our country for PUBG also has actively ongoing period of 3 years and it has more than 2200 members . Our community is hosting teams and players that made up the today’s Turkish PUBG scene. The vast majority of these players found their first team and teammates throughwith help our community and they have reached the point they are today. We have contributed to organizing various tournaments or changing the situations that we think are missing or wrong, both in terms of preparing people for the PUBG esports field and by acting together on our community channels. We have removed many people who have committed illegal acts in the game by collectively accesing throught official channels. And ,now we have our own league.

3. Where did you find the idea of creating PUBG Turkish League?

  • I have been the managing of the Discord community for about 1 year and have been in contact with game festivals many times during this process. I had conversations with the organisation creators directly. I said “There is a very large audience playing PUBG,it has huge numbers and a community of talented players, that festivals should be organized both in the individual tournaments “ but the result was always negative. I realized that I couldn’t get any reason from anywhere by waiting and I triggered the resources about what and how can we create a Pubg League. I always know that after we became someone who put their hands under the stone and brought out something, people who we applied for tournament before will come and try to get their share from the cake. Nevertheless I am happy with the point we reached and the reactions we received.

4. How did you  determined the teams placed in League?

  • Past achievements and long-running teams have been our priority. However, we tried to give a place to every team if they belong under an official organization. There are many quality teams and we did not want to exclude anyone. For this reason, we converted our league, which we normally planned as 16 teams, but we increased it to system with 24 teams and made place for 8 new teams. Unfortunately, there were still great teams that we were sorry for being out. I hope they show themselves in the qualifiers for the second season.

5. Which days and times PUBG in Turkey League matches will be played on? Where can we follow up the matches?

  • The leading 24 teams have been invited to Turkey’s first League season begins on Saturday, March 21. Along with 24 teams, the first week of the league, which will last 4 weeks, will be A + B + C groups in groups of 8. After each group plays together, the top 16 teams will rise to the 30 game league that will be played for 3 weeks. Matches is going to start on Saturday at 5 am and Sunday at 5 pm every day.

You can reach the Twitch channel where the league will be broadcast here

pubg türkiye espor topluluğu

6. Which levels do you plan to raise PUBG in Turkey? What are your plans, if any?

  • There is a huge number of player audience. Even our training matches, which have no awards, reach 700-800 views. I can easly say that this number will be measured in thousands when we have a good advertised organisation, award-winning official league, it is upset that it is not evaluated when there is so much potential and I continue to support all my fellow players as much as I can. My most important goal is to become one of the important continent in global area, also having a place in global leagues and to send our three or four team from Turkey.

7. Did you get enough support in the process of preparing the tournament?

“WE DID NOT RECEIVE ENOUGH SUPPORT!“

  • No way. I say it over and over again, we need to take part in an official league, offline tournaments, especially game festivals. As players, the biggest challenge we faced in general was the proposal of many organizations to play on our behalf by giving only name-form without any support. PUBG is a game that requires a lot of effort and time, players cannot find financial and moral support, so they continue to risk their own lives and futures, and many talented players says enough in one place. Esport can be one of the important branches in our country in the future, we must build the basis for this right now, but we are not in a very good situation yet.

8. What are your  point of views about Esport which is growing sector in Turkey?

“WE HAVE A SERIOUS POTENTIAL”

  • We have a serious potantial eventually but do not think we have enough investments and support on us.For example think about football or any other sport activities, no matter how much Money you invest it is hard to reach the level of other countries teams because they have reached unbelievible levels already. So, we can be the biggest esport country in the future with the investments of our goverment throught organisations and players.

9. Is there any sponsorship for this Tournement?

  • Unfortunately, no sponsorship we have signed yet. I am offering and recommend not to miss the opportunity to become sponsor of the PUBG Turkish League ,the people who want to support of development of Esport in our country and private companies, it has high potantial for advertisement. We are open to possible offers.

10. Is there anyone you would like to thank specifically ?

  • The owner of fastPay Wildcats, Mr. Orlando Carlo CALUMENO and our manager Hakan Demirel, do their best for the development of PUBG in our country and are the biggest supporters of the formation and realization of our league. In particular, I would like to thank them and everyone who contributed to PUBG to develop in our country.

11. Finally, is there anything you want to mention?

We would like to thank the Özgür”Büyükayı” Develi for the interview. We wish success to him and his team take place Turkey PUBG League, also for the all teams will participate in Turkey PUBG League .
