NAVI has been accused of breaking fair play principles at IEM Katowice 2022!

After their match versus FURIA at IEM Katowice 2022, NAVI was criticized by the CS:GO community. The incident erupted shortly after Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy purchased the M249, which he allegedly did while aware of streamer CMARTy’s bet.

CMARTy tweeted on February 16 that he had placed a wager that any of the NAVI players would buy the M249. His bet was 1,500 rubles at 501 odds, and he won 764,000 rubles.

After Esports writer Richard Lewis posted the material of CIS:GOne, who recounted the uproar surrounding this incident, the English-speaking community became aware of what had occurred.

Perfecto, did not purchase the M249 by mistake, as he already had an AK-47. The article also pointed out that none of the NAVI players had ever been killed with this machine gun in their whole careers, despite the fact that the wager was placed at a betting website that sponsors both NAVI and CMARTy.
