Vitality announces new VALORANT roster

Team Vitality has signed four new players to its roster: Santeri “BONECOLD” Sassi, Kamil “baddyG” Graniczka, Joona “H1ber” Parviainen, and Nathan “nataNk” Bocqueho.

BONECOLD and his old squad attended two of the three international LANs of the 2021 VCT circuit, Masters: Berlin and Champions, as the previous in-game captain for Acend. Acend placed in the top eight in Berlin, but breezed through the Champions playoffs to defeat Gambit Esports in the grand final and become the first-ever global champions. Acend struggled in the group stage of EMEA Scene 1: Challengers upon their comeback from the international stage in the 2022 VCT competition year, ultimately failing to qualify for Masters: Reykjavik. BONECOLD was benched shortly after their elimination from Challengers as the squad sought a new in-game commander.

baddyG, Vitality’s latest addition, most recently filled in for FunPlus Phoenix in EMEA Stage 1: Challengers during their group stage and playoff run. FPX, the #1 seed in Group A, overcame Team Liquid, Fnatic, and G2 Esports with the aid of baddyG to secure a berth at Masters: Reykjavik. However, because to visa limitations, FPX was unable to attend 2022’s first international LAN, leaving them to watch from the sidelines while Team Liquid represented them as EMEA’s third seed.

H1ber, the second fresh face to join the lineup, was a KOI player until Masters: Reykjavik, when he joined Fnatic as a substitute. Fnatic, on the other hand, struggled against their foreign opponents, falling to Ninjas In Pyjamas and ZETA DIVISION in their group stage matches, bringing their maiden international trip to a close. nataNk, the team’s last recruit, joins Vitality from Anorthosis Famagusta Esports, which placed third in the East Regional League, ensuring them a seat in the next season.

The four new additions will join Jokbas “ceNder” Labutis, Vitality’s lone remaining player after the company severed ways with the rest of its squad, for the next VCT.
