Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s first major expansion, Wrath of the Druids, has been postponed to May. Originally scheduled to be released on April 29, the expansion will now be released two weeks later on May 13.
The expansion will take Eivor to Ireland, where she will experience new adventures, and will touch upon the Norse-Gaels culture. The expansion will take place approximately 40 years after the Vikings first settled in Dublin, which became a cosmopolitan city. By the time the game takes place, the Viking expansion had already ended and the northern Barid mac Imair was serving as the king of Dublin. The story will begin as the High King of Ireland, Flann Sinna, pays Viking mercenaries to participate in their war campaigns. The story will then probably move on into more mystical aspects aka druid stuff.
Wrath of the Druids will be the first expansion pack for Valhalla. The Siege of Paris, a second story expansion set in France, is expected to be released this summer. There was also a data mine that leaked a possible third expansion, however, there is no concrete confirmation regarding that.
