Astralis Roster May Change!

Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander’s time with Astralis is coming to an end after a remarkable seven-year tenure with the Danish squad. Multiple sources have given details of two upcoming changes in the CS:GO roster: gla1ve’s benching and the addition of Victor “Staehr” Staehr from Sprout.

Initially, Astralis had agreed to sign Staehr once his contract with Sprout expired in early 2024. However, negotiations for an early transfer have now made progress after months of unsuccessful attempts.

According to one source, Astralis intends to make gla1ve available for transfer. This decision will lead to Benjamin “blameF” Bremer taking over the leadership role, a move that some have advocated for due to Astralis‘ recent struggles and gla1ve’s underwhelming individual performance. blameF has already been in charge of leading the team on the map Mirage and has more experience in a leadership position from his time with Complexity.

These roster changes are part of a larger restructuring within AstralisCS:GO division. The organization recently announced the departure of Kasper Hvidt, the Director of Sports, and Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen, the Head Analyst, citing disappointing results compared to their aspirations.

The extent of the changes within Astralis remains uncertain. The deadline for roster submissions for Astralis‘ participation in the BLAST Premier Fall Groups is approaching. Any further modifications after the deadline would require approval from the organizers and could result in Astralis being placed at the bottom of the event’s seeding.
