Case Esports has announced its new 2022 roster. Lucas “steel” Lopes leads the new squad who became the in-game leader and is best recognized for his performances for Immortals, Team Liquid, and Luminosity Gaming.
The new roster is the second in Case’s history, following the one made by Real Madrid’s Casemiro in the fall of 2020. The team that the club used to enter the professional CS:GO scene was made up of little-known Brazilian esports talent, and it failed miserably.
Lucas “honda” Cano is one of the new additions, having previously played for FURIA’s academy squad and had the chance to gain tier-one experience while standing in for the main roster at different periods throughout 2021. Rodrigo “RCF” Figueiredo, known for his recent stints in North America as a member of Yeah and High Coast, as well as time on Sharks in 2017, joins the lineup as the primary AWPer alongside Arthur “f4stzin” Schmitt, with both players recently playing for Asterys and previously having played together on Yeah. The squad is completed by a single player from Case‘s previous roster, Yan “yepz” Pedretti, who returns to the fold to finish out the team’s lineup for 2022.
Being a completely Brazilian roster is very important for me and the club. It is to remember where we come from and what our origins are. Brazilian CS:GO has always been a world power and we are very excited to continue betting on it. Betting on young talent is always a priority, especially in esports. Brazil has a lot of young talent and we do not want to waste it, but as in all projects, there must be some veteran to guide the promises.

The whole new Case roster has relocated to Spain, where they will reside and practice at the organization’s headquarters in Madrid.
