Virtus.pro General Manager: “I am neither denying nor ruling out possible roster changes”

Sergey Glamazda, the GM of Virtus.pro, spoke to the club’s YouTube channel about the state of the CS:GO team and its prospects in light of the changes on the professional scene following the outbreak of military action in Ukraine. He also revealed that there may be some replacements on the lineup, which is known as the Outsiders owing to the organization’s ban from all major events.

Glamazda further stated that under the current conditions, the Latvian Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis is under the most pressure.

We have an international lineup with guys from Russia, Kazakhstan and Latvia. My personal feeling, which correlates with reality, is that a lot of pressure is coming on YEKINDAR. He is from Europe. Latvia has a completely different attitude to what happens if compare with those who live in Russia. Therefore, the biggest pressure is on him, but, again, he performs and shows his game. I am grateful to him that he does not give up even despite the pressure there is. We will see how we do at the Major and what the next months will bring us. I am neither denying nor ruling out possible roster changes. This is a normal process for esports, but amid everything that is happening in the world and in our countries, this time, emotions and personal thoughts will affect these decisions.

Sergey Glamazda, the GM of Virtus.pro

All of the major event organizers, including ESL, BLAST, and PGL, have banned Virtus.pro. The rationale for this choice was due to the club’s links to the Russian government, which the event organizers are aware of.

Dzhami “Jame” Ali and teammates, who have been playing under the neutral Outsiders banner since March of this year, finished 17-20th in the ESL Pro League Season 15 and qualified for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
