Fnatic CS:GO Radical Change!

Swedish organization Fnatic has announced that they have made a radical change in their roster after a period full of bad results.

Fnatic took the first step towards this radical change by putting Maikil, the team’s in-game leader, in a substitute position. They announced that Maikil “Golden” Selim will now be a substitute player. The main reason for this decision was the bad results going further back to the beginning of 2021 and the drop in the team ranking.

However, putting the former in-game leader to a sub position will not be the only move within the team. After this, they announced that there will be more changes coming on. While ranking 38th in the HLTV CS:GO world team rankings, Fnatic wants to put a stop to these bad scores.

Fnatic CS:GO Radical Change!

The organization threw in the towel early, with the Swedish team having only one win in 11 games dating back to February, as well as taking part in minor tournaments with Snow Sweet Snow, Spring Sweet Spring and many first-level tournaments.

The 27-year-old player ended his second term with Fnatic, which lasted about two years, by withdrawing from the active squad to the reserve. Maikil “Golden” Selim, who was trained in the Fnatic Academy staff and later joined the main squad, had an important share while winning important tournaments such as WESG 2017 and IEM Katowice 2018.

However, this beautiful story had a bad ending, with poor results and a drop in team ranking. Perhaps with this belated move, Fnatic first struck the roster and pulled their in-game leader into reserve. With this decision, the organization is expected to announce other players that will be taken into reserve in the coming days.

After Golden was relegated, Fnatic’s roster was as follows:

  • Jesper “JW” Wecksell
  • Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson
  • Ludvig ”Brollan” Brolin
  • Jack ”Jackinho” Ström Mattsson
  • Andreas “Samuelsson” Samuelsson (Coach)
  • Maikil ”Golden” Selim (Substitute)
  • Peppe “Peppzor” Borak (Substitute)
