Giants Gaming Suspended From Riot Games!

Giants Gaming Suspended From Riot Games! The bug exploitation results in a suspension following Giants Gaming vs. bref. The Cypher player’s bug exploit on the Breeze map of the match played on June 29 between Giants Gaming and bref teams caused the Giants Gaming team to get banned.

Young player, Johan Renbjörk “Meddo” Lundborg, usually plays Cypher for Giants Gaming on the Breeze map. A camera shot by the Swedish player in the second round of the map in zone A was viewed by Riot Games as taking advantage of bugs and they decided that the team should be penalized. Here is the footage:

Valorant VCT Europe released its decision on the violation of the rule on July 6, with a post on their official Twitter account. Within the framework of these rules, a one-map loss decision was made to Giants Gaming. The explanation given is as follows:

Intentionally using any in game bug to seek an advantage is exploiting and is prohibited. Exploiting includes acts such as making use of any game function that, in the Tournament Operator’s sole judgement, is not functioning as intended and violates the design purpose of VALORANT. Team members may confidentially check with the referee at the beginning of a Competition to determine if a specific act would be considered Exploiting.

Team Vodafone Giants has violated section 7.2.6 of the VALORANT Global Competition Policy and will receive a one-map loss applied to their next official VALORANT Champions Tour match.

After this decision of Riot Games, things are a bit complicated in Giants Team. In the next round of the tournament, they will be disqualified if the concept moves to a single map match, which will result in their immediate defeat.
